The video was done by Figvrati Films.  It took place at a car wash in Atlanta. There were many nice cars (chevy’s obviously!) on the set, and a variety of people: models, photographers, DJ’s and Travis Porter of course! The whole Porter House Music Group team was out there strong. Differenter Gang t-shirts, girls in bikini tops and shorts; can’t wait to see the finished product!

They open the door, and as you walk in everyone looks up at you. That depicts what happened when I walked into the Porter House studio. That was definitely the most awkward moment in my life, but one I will never forget. Being in the Porter House studio, saying “wassup” to Quez like I really know him, or having Strap speak to me and recognize me (by my tattoos) was ridiculous! Better than anything I will ever experience in my life. I was definitely nervous. How did my friends (Courtney, Whitney) and I go from being at a casting call for their video, to chilling at the studio in one day? (shout out to Jun for that, he looked out) After we said hello, my friends fought for the attention of Irene (Travy dem’s puppy). Quez let my sister Courtney watch her for him while we were there. So much happened it’s hard to put in any chronological order. Ali was MIA when we arrived, and we all wondered where he was.

At first, I felt like I was just observing, watching them in their element, still in complete shock! Quez kept talking to Courtney while he was playing Xbox. He asked her about her tattoos, and told her she was bad luck. I must admit I just kept staring at Strap from across the room, he kept catching me too. (lol) I think the only reason we felt so comfortable around them is because they really are just people. I think they’re humble, and they make music because that’s what they love to do. It is every big Travis Porter fan’s dream to meet them, and I’m very lucky to have experienced that. When my friends and I had side conversations, they joined in. We were blown away by every little thing they did. Strap sat next to me on the couch and I was screaming on the inside. We laughed at Quez’s jokes, watched them play video games, and even watched them come up with a new song. That was amazing, but I’ll talk more about that in a second.

 The moment Ali walked in was the most intense moment I’ve ever witnessed. He walked in the door and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up at him. I’m sure he was wondering who the hell we were, but none of us could speak, especially me. My heart beat went up so fast! At that time, Courtney was sitting next to me on the couch, and I just squeezed her arm. He came and sat next to me on the couch, and I hit her leg. I was literally hyperventilating. His presence in the room just captivated all of our attention momentarily.  One half of FKi (First) is their engineer, so he was at work with some beats. One that he played everyone thought was great. Quez and Ali started brainstorming a hook for the beat. They looked at us for inspiration, trying to ask us what it made us think of. Ali asked me what I was thinking about and I had to tell him he didn’t want to know (lol) After they had the hook, they started writing their verses. Quez was telling Courtney what he was thinking about saying, and asking her opinion. I saw Strap writing across the room, so I pulled up a chair and sat next to him to watch. He let me hear what he had so far. During that time Ali was playing video games, I have a pic to prove it. (lol) Right before that, Travy dem asked me if I spoke another language so I told them Spanish, Italian, and a little Chinese. They all started asking me to say different things. Quez and Strap told me to speak Spanish. Ali on the other hand, kept saying he wanted to hear me speak Italian. When I sat next to strap as he was writing, he kept asking me how to say certain things in Spanish. They had said they wanted me to record something in Spanish on the song. By the time they started recording it, the ideas had changed so much. Strap ended up having me say something in his verse. I was so nervous. He just got up to go in the booth and was like “come on.” How could I say no? I was more nervous at that moment then the entire time I was there. If you were in a small, dark, hot (maybe it was me?) space with Strap, wouldn’t you feel the same way I did? I had to record the same line over and over. At first I was off beat or not loud enough, but he helped me feel more comfortable until I got it right. If I get his permission, I’ll upload the clip I have of him recording, but as of right now I don’t want to do that without him knowing.

What I’ve written is exactly what happened in the studio. I know on twitter a lot of #TeamTravy had asked me for details, and I hope you heard everything you wanted to know. That was honestly the best night of my life so far! A lot of people told me they were jealous, but I want you to know that I’m doing this for all the fans out there. If I can give the fans inside information, photos, and a behind the scenes look at Travis Porter, than my purpose is fulfilled. Travis Porter is down to earth, extremely talented, and I’m looking forward to continuing to give the fans a closer view of the group we love!
